In July 2023, Reinhart acquired the company Minka SCS.
Adrian Reinhart joined Stefan Bloch and Paul Schönenberger in the board of management.
MINKA SCS was founded in 2012 in Winterthur, Switzerland, by Stefan Bloch and Paul Schönenberger after having gained decades of experience in raw material procurement and supply chain management. Proud to be not a traditional trading company but a multi-origin exporter, Minka opened their first export company, SUMAQAO, in Peru. Due to this primary success, further operations were established, namely in Ecuador, the Dominican Republic, Uganda and the Democratic Republic of Congo.
SCS stands for Sustainable Commodity Sourcing and is not only embedded in the company name but also in the DNA of the company culture and way of working.
Nowadays, MINKA SCS is a cocoa sourcing company with a global reach and counts renowned chocolatiers and the cocoa processing industry to its customers.
MINKA is a Quechua word, which stands for the Inca tradition of undertaking collective work for the benefit of the community
